Please note there is one other quote out for this date.

Dear Ashley & James-

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and thanks for your inquiry!

At this time, I am available for both a rehearsal and your wedding ceremony. My quote includes all of the following:

Initial Consultation. This is our "get to know you" meeting before or after booking. This gives us a chance to get acquainted, get some general background, and discuss my process. This would normally last 30 minutes and would be held at my office unless other arrangements are made. Skype or Facetime are also options for most meetings.

If you book beforehand, we would include the steps in the Wedding Ceremony Consultation below.

Wedding Ceremony Consultation. We’ll talk about how you want the ceremony to “look.” I’ll review ceremonies with both traditional and contemporary components and get an idea of what best reflects the two of you as a couple. We’ll talk about the order of service, wedding party roles, and family members and friends who you might like to include.

This usually lasts an hour or so, and is when I take the time to get to know you both as a couple--I will ask some questions about how you met, family, etc. This helps me most with your vows and based on your initial information, and I'll tailor your ceremony to your wishes be it modern, traditional, or secular. When you're ready you'll schedule a time to meet at my office unless other arrangements are made.

Customized ceremony. I create each ceremony from the first word to the last. This means it will be unique to you (and your guests). Creating one-of-a-kind ceremonies is one of the reasons I enjoy working together with couples as it makes the experience both personal and heartfelt. Your ceremony will be exactly as you'd like it--be it traditional, contemporary, or a combination of both. I'll also send suggested readings, and you will complete a survey of ceremony components to help me get a feel for the style that suits you best.

Vows. I will help/coach you through your personal vow writing and then help incorporate them into the ceremony. This is scarier than it sounds but during your ceremony it is the sweetest moment (and sometimes funniest)--plus the one that both you and your guests remember. If you don't want this component, no worries.

Pre-Marital Counseling. (optional) You may also join me for up to two pre-marital counseling sessions anytime before your wedding. These sessions are not really designed to be "problem" focused (although if we need to, we can open dialogue), but are there to facilitate a fun and interesting discovery process for you and your fiancé.

Special Ceremony Components. If you'd like. this will include a sand ceremony, hand fasting, unity candle or other special "mini-ceremonies" within your wedding ceremony. We'll explore (many) options and together find the one that best suits you.

Final review meeting. After your ceremony is written for you and we have finalized readings, family/friend participation, vows, etc. we'll Skype or Facetime  to be sure we have everything covered.

Rehearsal. Given our planning up front, we should have a fairly simple rehearsal. This is really about you both being comfortable ahead of time so that you can enjoy your wedding day! I will have clear and easy instructions for your family and wedding party so the ceremony runs smoothly. This is when the venue rep, musicians/DJ, etc. and I will also be sure we’re in synch with ceremony door/music cues, etc.

Your wedding day! I will be there 45-60 minutes before to check last details and see both of you before we meet together for your vows. I also have a great assistant who helps out “behind the scenes” and is an extra hand if we need her.

Marriage License. You are responsible for securing your marriage license in the appropriate jurisdiction in which you are being married--normally no more than 30 days prior to your wedding date. Before we begin the ceremony, please have your license materials available for my review, and my (and witnesses if required) signature after the ceremony. I 'm happy to send the executed license by certified mail within 5 days of your wedding day. Some couples prefer to do this on their own but this is included in my services as Wedding Officiant.

The fee. My fee for all services is $550.  I require a 50% ($275) deposit which will secure the date and from there we’ll start the ceremony planning. The balance of $275 will be due 14 days before your wedding date.

If you would like additional details about our Ceremony Planning Process, you may view that here.

The Agreement for Officiant services should be completed if you choose to proceed with hiring me and reserving your date. You may complete that here

The $275 deposit may then be made at:

I would be honored to be your officiant, and look forward (hopefully!) to getting to know you both.

Once the deposit is made, you may also schedule a convenient time for our initial meeting at: and choose “Wedding Ceremony Consultation”. We'll meet at my office in Covington, unless other arrangements are made.

If you prefer to schedule the initial consultation before booking, please do so at Note that your date will remain open until booking.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call, email or text and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Please note that these dates will not be confirmed until a ceremony deposit is made. I will hold these dates for 24 hours from the time I submit this quote. After that, I recommend that you check in again to be sure your date(s) are available before booking.

Please let me know you received this, and thanks again for your consideration!
